This interesting ketchup contains vegetables and spices, but no tomatoes - hence the name "un-ketchup"! It has the benefits of being low in calories as well as remaining low-fat.
Prep Time: 5 minutes (include more if you are cooking the vegetables at the same time)
* 1 cup cooked carrots
* 1/4 cup cooked beets
* 1/4 cup water
* 1/4 cup lemon juice
* 1 Tablespoon sweetener of your choice
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/8 teaspoon oregano
Blend carrots, beets, water, lemon juice, sweetener, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth. Keep in the refrigerator.
Yield: about 1-1/2 cups
